Made from 100% superfine 18.5 micron merino wool, it delivers exceptional next-to-skin comfort. The ultra-fine fibres keep you warm in the cold and breathe efficiently as temperatures rise, so you stay comfortable in changing conditions. Rib knit can be identify because of its vertical ribs. Rib knit fabric is heavier compared to Jersey and generally very stretchy. It is used to make high quality garments that are stretchy without the use of elasthane. It is ideal for making base layers.
Lightweight merino wool knit 190gsm
This is an indicator of the merino wool fabric thickness. GSM stands for grams per square meter. This thickness is lightweight and very comfortable to wear in warmer weather. It can also be used as a base layer under a warmer layer or shirt in everyday use.
Superfine merino wool yarn 18.5µm
Superfine merino yarn with a fiber diameter of 18.5 microns (μm) is exceptionally fine and soft. This high degree of fineness is key to producing yarn that feels soft against the skin. The finer the fiber, the softer and more comfortable the fabric becomes. Superfine merino at 18.5 microns can be worn directly next to the skin, even on the most sensitive areas, without irritation. It is extremely pleasant and gentle to wear.
