The blend of wool balls and natural latex flakes provides volume and softness. It is contained in a second, removable inner cover. All the benefits of wool and latex are combined in a single pillow.

FSC®-certified natural rubber guarantees that rubber trees used to produce the latex are deforestation free and socially responsible. FSC certification makes sure the latex isn’t linked to forest degradation or deforestation, and ensures traceability from the forest or plantation to the manufacturing of the latex. As only 4% of global rubber plantation area is currently FSC certified, this certification is very important to limit the negative impact of the latex on the environment.

GOTS

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the organic certification for textile products made from natural fibers such as cotton, linen or wool. It guarantees a complete traceability of the entire supply chain from the organic origin of the raw material to the low environmental impact of the processing which forbids all hazardous chemicals. In addition, GOTS certifies social responsibility at all steps : good working conditions, respect for workers' rights, no discrimination, no child labor.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100

Standard 100 certification guarantees that the certified item has been tested against harmful substances and that it is therefore harmless for human health. Tests are conducted by independent institutes based on criteria of Standard 100. Absence of numerous regulated and non-regulated substances, which may be harmful to human health are verified. A pillow for complete comfort

Orjen Luxe is a firm pillow with a wool-quilted cover for superior comfort. The quilting evenly distributes support, while the wool it contains breathes and regulates moisture, complementing the action of the wool in the filling.

The wool and latex filling is contained in a second, inner cover made of organic cotton jersey, which is easily removable to allow washing of the outer cover.

The comfort of wool

The quilted wool in the cover, like that in the filling, breathes and regulates moisture in all seasons. It promotes healthy sleep without sweating or allergies. Wool does not generate static electricity (which attracts dust and can cause joint tension). Slightly abrasive, it creates a naturally inhospitable environment for dust mites. It is non-allergenic and also acts as a natural flame retardant.

Sourced from mountain sheep raised outdoors in southern Serbia, our wool is untreated, neutral in odor, and carefully washed in an ecological manner using spring water with a low limestone content. It is carded and mechanically processed into small balls. All work on the wool is carried out in southern Serbia.

The comfort of latex

Latex flakes add great resilience to the wool: they return to their original shape after compression. They give the pillow lasting volume and pleasant softness. Our latex is 100% natural, produced exclusively from rubber tree milk. It is naturally hypoallergenic.

100% organic cotton covers

Both pillow covers (the quilted cover and the inner cover) are made of 100% organic cotton certified GOTS. They are equipped with a zipper that allows the amount of filling to be adjusted. They can be machine-washed after the wool and latex filling has been removed.

Manufacturing

The pillow is manufactured in the Ecovolva workshop in Aranđelovac, Serbia.

Care

Once the filling has been removed, the outer cover can be machine-washed at 30 °C on the wool program, using a detergent suitable for wool. Spinning should not exceed 400 rpm. It is recommended to air the pillow regularly, as well as the rest of the bedding.
