euroLATEX 100% Natural

euroLATEX 100% NATURAL guarantees the latex is made out of 100% natural latex. This certification can only be obtained for latex manufactured in Europe. The label certifies the absence of harmful substances such as heavy metals, solvents or volatile organic compounds. In addition, the label certifies that the working conditions of all personnel involved in the supply chain and compliant of those of EU.

FSC-certified natural rubber

FSC®-certified natural rubber guarantees that rubber trees used to produce the latex are deforestation free and socially responsible. FSC certification makes sure the latex isn’t linked to forest degradation or deforestation, and ensures traceability from the forest or plantation to the manufacturing of the latex. As only 4% of global rubber plantation area is currently FSC certified, this certification is very important to limit the negative impact of the latex on the environment.

GOTS

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the organic certification for textile products made from natural fibers such as cotton, linen or wool. It guarantees a complete traceability of the entire supply chain from the organic origin of the raw material to the low environmental impact of the processing which forbids all hazardous chemicals. In addition, GOTS certifies social responsibility at all steps : good working conditions, respect for workers' rights, no discrimination, no child labor.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100

Standard 100 certification guarantees that the certified item has been tested against harmful substances and that it is therefore harmless for human health. Tests are conducted by independent institutes based on criteria of Standard 100. Absence of numerous regulated and non-regulated substances, which may be harmful to human health are verified. Limit values for the STANDARD 100 often go beyond national and international requirements.

Description

Soft-Motion slat system is an all-natural ergonomic slat system solution made of solid ash wood slats supported by flexible latex beams. It has the ability to react dynamically to pressure to follow the movement of the sleeper as she or he moves during sleep. Soft Motion is the result of years of experience in ergonomic sleep solutions and has been designed with the best French experts.

The all-natural Zepto mattress has been designed to go together with the Soft-Motion system. It is not advisable to use a thicker mattress than Zepto because that would prevent the slat system motion to be effective.

Configurations

Soft-Motion can be configured in different ways to adapt to the weight of the sleeper. For a double bed, 140cm and up, 2 Soft-Motion slat systems, half the width, will go. Each one can be configured independently of the other to give the best support to the regular sleeper on that side.

In width 70, 80, 90 and 100cm Soft-Motion includes 2 full beams (left and right). A third 2/3 beam is sold separately to give more support if needed.
In width 140cm Soft-Motion includes 3 full beams (left, right, and middle). A fourth full beam is sold separately to give more support if needed.

Latex beams on each side can be medium or firm. Additionally, a 2/3 beam can be placed in the middle to provide more support to the hips while leaving softness on the shoulder. Below are the indicative configurations for one side depending of the weight of the sleeper. These are purely indicative. The middle 2/3 beams can be placed or removed as necessary depending of the comfort one need. Everything is adjustable so that no mistake can be made. If you choose one configuration and find it too soft or too firm, we will adjust it to your need.

For double beds in 140cm width that are used by only one person, it is possible to configure a single Soft-Motion in that width. Below are the indicative possible configurations.

Choice of configuration

When ordering Soft-Motion, just add a comment to your order to specify the configuration (medium or firm) you need. The middle 2/3 beam is sold separately.

Soft-Motion 140cm is sold with 3 beams. The additional full length beam is sold separately.

Construction

Beams

Beams are of square section, 10cm x 10cm, in the length of the bed. They are made of 100% natural latex protected in a first jersey cover made of organic cotton. The external cover is made of a sturdy organic cotton canvas fabric that holds the slats. All covers are equipped with zippers so they can be opened and serviced.

Slats

Slats have a specific ellipsoidal shape that helps the dynamic of the system. They are made of solid ash wood that is known to be very resistant to flexion. There are 26 slats on a 2m long bed. Slats can last a lifetime.

Slats cover

The slats cover is zipped on both sides of the latex beams on top of the slats. It is made in the same sturdy organic cotton canvas fabric than the beams cover. It protects the mattress against possible abrasion on the slat and it holds the slats together.

Custom sizes

Soft-Motion slat system can be made available in others sizes than the standard ones offered above. Length of 210cm or 220cm are possible. Please contact us for any specific demand.

Bed fitting

The solid wood beds we propose are all made to receive the Soft-Motion slat system. That is, they have support for the latex beams on each side and in the middle. In order to fit Soft-Motion slat system in a bed that was not conceived for it, an adaptive layer of slats is necessary to provide beams support. That is the role of our Slat Foundation sold separately on the site.

Care and maintenance

It is important to regularly let the bedroom aerate with the window opened and the mattress uncovered. Soft-Motion slat system provides space so that the mattress can ventilate. In case of necessity, it is possible to hand wash the slat system covers. Everything is accessible to be washed or cleaned.

Warranty

Soft-Motion slat system is warrantied for 5 years against any sagging above normal. Latex in the beams can last over 10 years while slats and covers can last a lifetime. Once needed, it is possible to change the latex of the beams while keeping the complete system for another decade. That is our concept of sustainability.
